New Watercolor Technique:
I've developed a completely new watercolor technique using Daniel Smith extra fine watercolor and on the 5" x 7" Birchwood three-quarter inch cradle panel I laminate a 5" x 7" piece of premium made watercolor paper made by Fabriano 140 pounds hot press from there I utilize my special chemistry and when applied and dry, I sand with ultra pine sandpaper the surface to ultra smooth and from there, I sketch and commenced to paint using my Daniel Smith extra fine watercolors but one of the things I do that's totally different. I utilize a material that they manufacture as a ground you can buy it in different colors, but I buy it in the transparent and it is manufactured and called transparent watercolor ground. It has very special acrylic binders, and what I do is use that as a medium and a mix that with my watercolor paint and then go from there to finish painting is awesome and way more durable than anything you can do as a pure in watercolor, and after the painting is completed. I use a remarkable golden gloss, archival varnish about three thin layers in the finished watercolor is spectacular with luminosity in depth, very identical to an oil painting, but without having the hazards of painting with oil paint.
You can write me if you have questions. I'll be glad to answer and it's a tremendously new way for me to paint on my chemistry on the artistical hot pressed water paper, which is transparent, and has my special light scattering particles making the finished watercolor, unbelievably gorgeous. I found that the Daniel Smith extra fine watercolors the pigments they use. I actually superior to any of the acrylic pigments and oil pigments, but you will have to do it yourself and be your own judge.
New body of work in golden acrylics:
Golden acrylics and will be my primary medium starting now as I am no longer painting in Oils. This particular ringneck duck Drake is built on the basis of the Wisconsin waterfall duck stamp 10" x 13" x 1/4" with a one and a half inch net board going on the perimeter so the actual painting is 7" x 10". So stay tuned I have more acrylic paintings coming that you might certainly enjoy. The colors are vibrant, and I develop a very deep luminosity in depth, painting with all transparent, medium, and/or pigments..
Have a great day. May God bless and keep you all safe.
