New Water Mixable Lukas Berlin Oils
For those of you who have been experiencing health issues with regular mediums and drying mediums, I am not happy to say working with this new water mixable oil is just the very best. As I mix my colors on my gray palette I mix the oil with Lukas Fast Drying Medium for a couple of reasons. Painting in oils used to be a challenge to be able to get paintings ready to post on ebay and run a 7 day bid then sell and ship sequence. Drying time is very important. I use Grumbacher Damar Retouch Varnish after two days of drying and then when preparing to ship I have no issues with a tacky varnish. The second reason is with fast drying I can glaze new colors over dry colors and develop a much more beautiful luminosity. I use mostly transparent colors in my palette and this also aids in the luminosity development.
About 3 years ago Lukas water mixable was being introduced and I learned a lot about how to work with and jsut this year they have introduced a new version and I like even more. I have painted about 30 original oil paintings using this new version and can say my results exceed my expectations too. They are now offering 200ml tubes making the cost very economical. I would highly recommend trying this new water mixable oil paint and Fast Drying Medium. If you have questions please send me your query and I'll get back to you within the same day.
