Egret Called, " Soaring" In Crex Meadows
To all the bird lovers near and far I hope you are enjoying all your birds and this years migration. In September several Egreats arrive for a couple of weeks to grace Crex Meadows and this year was no exception. I am using an 11" x 14" x 5/8" stretched canvas bought from Amazon, a 7 pack for $17 Amazon Prime so no ship fee. I use my coating before I paint and my Artisan Oil works so well after prepped. I appreciate the good quality and good prices at Amazon every savings helps over a years worth of painting.
On this painting I used a limited palwette, pthalo bl, aliz crimson and cad yell lt with Zn white and Ti white. I like Zn white is transparent and works in my water to make very colorful and not opaque like Ti white. Prepping more canvas today and am painting some sandhill cranes in flight seen on Thursday off Main Dyke Road, a pair landing, awesome image to work with. Until tomorrow save a Crane too. Best wishes.
