A Gray Wolf called " Luna "
In 2012 we visited the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN the wolf pack included a rare gray wolf female named " Luna " and I was able to collect some images that I later used to create this original oil painting on stretched canvas. I gifted this painting and is now in a private collection. Luna in later years was separated from the pack due to not being able to get along. This behavior can take place in a pack and in the wild they actually drive out the unwanted wolf. The gray wolf is a very necessary canine in the wild culling weak and sick whitetail deer. This can improve a more natural balance in the wild.
