For all who enjoy Jimmy Springett's original W&N Oils, today's painting is my first painting in a series. Let me explain so you can have a good view of my process and what I love doing.

Last year, 2020 I painted 8 original W&N Oils painting on 16" x 20" x 1 1/2" Gallery Profile canvas, and this canvas allows me to paint the 4 sides and no frame is necessary, thus saving my customer more cost, yet these painting look great in your home. I painted this first layer in oil colors and at that time I shared here on Facebook with all of you. Most of you were thinking they were my finished oil painting....nope, far from it.

Today on this trumpeter swan painting was the finishing second layer in W&N Oils. Since my oil paints are translucent the first layer of colors reflect and mix with my second layer of colors giving these finished oil painting the highest and most beautiful colors possible using oil paints.

So after this painting, I have 7 more 16" x 20" x 1 1/2" oil paintings to be finished in this same technique. All will be posted on my FASO website www.jimspringett.com and special sale price is $487.00.
